The Dwight Ogletree Family
|
Hi guys,
I don’t know about you, but it is really hard to believe it has been 30 years, other than
the fact that I can’t see, can’t run, can’t eat or can’t do many other things like I used to.
But seriously, it still beats the alternative.
Where to start?
We have been living in Tulsa for the last 14 years and must say that we love living
here. My immediate family is all close by. For those of you that did not know, Ann and I
have been married since 1990. She is a teacher’s assistant at the Heritage Academy in
Tulsa. Her two sons from her first marriage live in town, Rex is 30 and Brent is 26. Rex
also has a boy, 5 and a girl 7. I get along very well with the boys since they have been
around me most of their lives.
Rachael, our daughter is a junior at Bishop Kelley High School in Tulsa. She was the
starting 1st baseperson for her softball team last year. Takes after her father. Our son
Jimmy, is a 7th grader in Jenks Middle School and dreams of playing in a rock band as
evidenced by his head banging and guitar playing. Takes after dad as well at least as
far as the head banging.
I never dreamed that I would be doing the work that I am today. I have always enjoyed
talking and dealing with people, so after 15 years with Safeway, I moved into sales. I am
currently the VP of Sales for a small company based in Irvine, CA. (Orange County) I
commute to work in Southern California like everyone else does, I just do it by airplane.
I have logged just over 3 million miles on American Airlines(sorry Frank) (I am on the
plane as I write this). I have enjoyed traveling and seeing many places in the U.S. and
abroad, but always happy to come back to Oklahoma. I love the people and the
southern hospitality, plus we love Tulsa, it is big enough, yet small enough.
We have had a cabin on Grand Lake for the last 12 years which is where we go on the
weekends in the summer. It is for sale now, since we bought a new lake house. If you
are ever up that way, come by for some fishing and a beer. Mike Foster is on the north
end of the lake and we are now on the far south.
Can’t wait to see everyone and I can tell you about our cruise we took during spring
break. What a treat.
All the best! Dwight Ogletree
