Tony Lucich & Family

Here’s to the 30th reunion of the Altus High School Class of 1976.
To all that came and to all that could not attend, I hope this writing
finds you and your families doing well.  Regarding the reunion, wow,
how fun it was and yet how quick it went.  As I write this, it is the 4th
of July and I really want to fulfill a promise to Timmy that I would
write something and send pictures.  The fact is, I have really
enjoyed reading each of your stories and have felt a little bad for not
having already done this myself.  Anyway, here goes……..

I currently live in Murphy, Texas along with my wife, Rhonda (Beltz)
- class of 1977 - and our son Ross Anthony Lucich (Plano East
Senior High class of 2006).  For those of you not familiar with the
Dallas metroplex, Murphy is northeast of Plano and Richardson.
Our home is not very far from South Fork Ranch.  Yes, this is the
same SF ranch we all saw on the television series Dallas growing
up.

Rhonda & I will be celebrating our 29th year of marriage on July 7th,
and I really can not account for all the time.  She, on the other hand,
might take exception with this comment although I really am not that
hard to live with.  You think?  What I know is I owe her a very
special anniversary / vacation for our 30th anniversary next year.

For the last 21 years, Rhonda & I have lived in the Dallas/Ft Worth
area and have been blessed with many friendships and rewarding
careers.  I have been in the banking industry since leaving the Army,
as a young Captain in 1985.  My career has covered all areas of
banking from retail to commercial lending and executive
management in both large regional and community banks.  Today
you can find me in Plano, TX at LegacyTexas Bank.  I am a Senior
Vice President and the Director of Business Banking.  Basically, my
group targets small to midsize companies to develop both a lending
and deposit relationship. I would describe our bank as large enough
to offer world class products and services yet small enough to
deliver it with a “community bank” feel.

Rhonda has been in education for 26 years with the last half of that
in Garland ISD.  She is currently the Director of Elementary
Operations, supervising 47 elementary campuses.  It has really
been fun watching her career blossom from that of classroom
teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal, Magnet School Principal, to
that of Director.  She will complete her doctorate in educational
administration soon and has already earned her Superintendent
Certification.  Maybe his time next year I’ll be writing to tell you about
my recent retirement from banking.  LOL. LOL.  Seriously, Rhonda
is very well thought of in education circles, so who knows where her
career may take her in the next few years.

Last, let me say a few things about our one and only son, Ross
Anthony.  Ross has been our pride and joy.  Those who know him
find him to be quite comical, without really trying, and fun to be
around.  He has a very kind heart, loves baseball, and is my golfing
partner.  Ross is a fine young man and will do well in life.  He has
decided to attend North Lake College here in the Dallas area for his
Freshman year, so Rhonda and I are very happy to have him at
home with us for a little while longer.

Well, for someone who really didn’t want to write this or have much
to say, I have found a way to get it done.  So with that said, I’ll sign
off for now.  If you are ever in the D/FW area, please call me as I
always am good for a meal and conversation.  Best of luck, and may
God bless you all until we meet again in June of 2011.  Go Bulldogs!
