Ricky Dale Goss blessed his family and the world with his birth on October 31, 1961. He went home to be with his Lord June 22, 2017 at a young age of fifty-five.
Ricky was son to Donald Ray Goss and Rita June Collvins, step-son to Vernon Roy Mayfield, younger brother to Deana Jo Goss, older brother to Gregory Scott Goss, and step-brother to Vernon Aubrey Mayfield and Tami Diane Mayfield.
He went on to create his own family with his beloved wife, Lynda Rae Beyers, whom he married July 16, 1985. Just a short time after marriage they welcomed two children into the pattern who brightened their lives beyond measure, Ricky Don Goss and Charli Nicole Goss, who would bring further joy to Ricky by blessing him with six absolutely adored granddaughters: Hannah Marie Goss and Abigail Dawn Goss, daughters of Ricky Don Goss and Neeley Ann Lake; Madelyn Grace Hawley(Sanders), Fallon Ray Sanders, Danni Kay Sanders, and Remi Mae Sanders, daughters of Charli Nicole Goss and Christopher Allen Sanders. Sadly, the pattern was disrupted a few times when his Lord called some of his closest loved ones home. Ricky was preceded in death by one of his beloved nephews, Terrance Levi Martin, his niece Julene Martin, his father Donald Ray Goss, and his son Ricky Don Goss.
Ricky was well-known in town as a man whom one could call if just about anything needed fixing. He helped a lot of people in his lifetime without expectation, solely because it brought other people joy or piece-of-mind – even if it meant he had to do without. He loved harvest season with his brother and both of their families more than any other profession he could have chosen in life. His reputation of a good man spread across the country as he extended that same helpfulness to all whom he served during harvest season. So many depended on him for anything from basic repairs to advice, or just a much needed talk.
He was quite close with his nephews, son-in-law, and granddaughters amongst many other family members and friends. The pattern was truly full – and it brought him joy to his last day.
